Penn welcomes applications from qualified Ph.D.s with experience and interest in teaching writing seminars. We also welcome
applications from writers with a substantial publications background and teaching experience.
Please submit the following:
1) A letter of interest broadly outlining your qualifications and interest in teaching and participating in the Critical
Writing Program at Penn.
2) Your current CV.
3) A sample/proposed syllabus for a discipline-based seminar in the Critical Writing Program.
4) A writing sample (preferably scholarship).
5) If you have not taught at Penn before, but have taught elsewhere, evidence of your accomplishments as a teacher (syllabi,
teaching evaluations, teaching awards, references).
6) If you have not taught at Penn before, three references (telephone, address, and email if possible).
