Gil Ott published "Artifice of Absorption" as a special issue of Paper Air in 1987. A revised version of the work is included in A Poeitics,published by Harvard University Press in 1992. A Poeitics remains in print: order it here. This html edition, created around 2014, uses the text from A Poeitcs, although the notes are in a separate file in this version, while they are formatted as footnotes in A Poeiticsm, which I prefer. Part of my project in Vancouver was to see how much of the proceedings of the colloquium I could absorb into (or would leak out of) this work, which was completed in December 1986. |
