On December 9, 2004, the day after we learned of Jackson Mac Low's death, the members of English 88 performed this piece in his memory, based on Mac Low's own performance elegy for the photographer/curator Peter Moore, "A Vocabulary for Peter Innisfree Moore."For our piece we made a list of words that can be assembled from the letters of Jackson's name, then handed around sheets of paper with a limited random selection of these words printed on them. We then spoke or chanted these words together.
