will teach advanced
screenwriting this spring
---------------------------

As many of you know, Marc Lapadula pioneered a new screenwriting course
this fall semester, numbered 130, "Advanced Screenwriting." As you can see,
we are trying to expand our offerings of screenwriting workshops.

This spring Marc will be teaching two sections of "Screenwriting" (numbered
116), and we will have a special guest instructor teaching another
"Advanced Screenwriting" workshop.

I'm pleased to announce this newest member of our faculty: Mark Rosenthal.

Mark's course is described here:

and a brief biographical profile is at the bottom of this message.

The course will be held (note this!) on FRIDAY AFTERNOONS from 2-5 PM.
Several times during the semester Mark will be bringing to the class
colleagues and friends who are eminent screenwriters, directors, and
agents. These visitors will also offer lunchtime seminars open to everyone
at noon at the Kelly Writers House.

Enrollments in this course are strictly limited. Students will be admitted
on the basis of an application: by email, send a writing sample, brief
description of your interest in the course and any relevant background or
experience. Applications must be sent to:

	screenwriting@writing.upenn.edu

ASAP - but certainly before the end of the pre-registration period.
